4] CONSULTATION ON THAMES PATH.
An email about this has just been sent out. Please respond to this very sensible suggestion. See http://www.hfcyclists.org.uk/consult.htm.

John may go down to the Thames path this Saturday morning at 10am to tell passing cyclists with families about the consultation. If you are interested in helping please let me know and come down.

Alan pointed out that in the morning peak cyclists race past the area by the pubs. And Ruth Mayorcas has been badly injured by a cyclist on the Upper Mall. However, as with speeding cars, it is not an excuse to ban all cyclists. Measures can be taken against those who cause problems, and those commuting at speed are unlikely to obey no cycling signs anyway.

At the same web address there is a link to the consultation on the Fulham Palace Surface level crossing scheme.

5] TWO-WAY ONE-WAY.
At a recent Kensington & Chelsea Cyclists meeting we learnt from Kathryn King of LBHF that cycling the wrong way on one-way streets can now be trialed in other Boroughs. Rainville Road and Bridge Avenue have been suggested. John will write to LBHF suggesting that they conduct such a trial. .

6] SPEEDING CARS
At a recent meeting of the Community Safety Board Cllr Greg Smith said that he did not believe that speeding was a problem in LBHF. John has asked the Met Police for the number of speeding offences in LBHF over the last 5 years in a FOI request.

However anecdotal evidence is that there is a lot of dangerous speeding in 20mph and 30mph areas. To highlight this problem and to try and spur the Council and the local police to take action, we will do our own speed checks. John is going to pick up a radar speed gun from Susie Morrow of Wandsworth cyclists the day after this meeting. Gerry, Susie, David, Marta, John, John Ashford have said they will help in speed checks, working as pairs. Perhaps for an hour at a time. There was great enthusiasm for this.

Suggested streets include Brook Green, Bradmore Park rd, Dalling rd, Sinclair rd. If you want to be out there, or help in the analysis and presentation of the results, please let John know. Also if you have a street or school near you that would be interested.

6] UNITY TRUST
We decided to transfer of the rest of our money from the Barclays account to the Unity Trust account set up by the LCC. We transferred a portion a few months ago and the Unity trust account works well. This is also a safeguard in case our group declines or ceases to operate and means that the LCC will have access to our funds. We wrote a cheque for £2000 from our Barclays account to the Unity Trust account.

7] EXPENSES
Susie had expenses of £31 79 for refreshments. John brought along a bottle of wine that Richard Chute had brought to a previous meeting. Thanks to all others that brought contributions.

8] DERELICTION
David brought up the problem of derelict bikes blocking the use of cycle racks. The person to contact is Roy Instrall at lbhf, roy.instrall@lbhf.gov.uk,

David also mentioned the poor state of the cycle path beside the Talgarth rd near the Novotel. Perhaps he should try contacting the Cycling Officer Simon Franklin as above.

Problems can be reported on the lbhf website at http://tinyurl.com/4x9sxw5 . John has just reported a sunken drain in the North End rd outside the Co-op opposite West Kensington Station. Watch to see if there is any action.

9] CYCLE RACKS
Paul brought up the problem that there were still no cycle racks outside the Cycle Surgery on Shepherds Bush Green, in spite of several requests for it.
