HAPPY NEW YEAR
A chance for people to meet each other, and also to find out how people might want to contribute to the group, particularly any new people who may come.

PTWs [Powered two wheelers] IN BUS LANES ON RED ROUTES
This started on Monday 5 January. Motorcycles can now travel on most Red Route bus lanes across London for an 18 month trial ending 4 July 2010. However there are no bus lanes on red routes [A4 and A40] in LBHF. see tfl.gov.uk/motorcyclesinbuslanes .

Most of the bus lanes affected are in Central London. New signage has been installed on all relevant routes to show which bus lanes motorcycles are allowed to travel on.
If you have any incidents to report to the London Cycling Campaign on how this trial is working go to www.lcc.org.uk/campaigns

In LBHF a trial will begin on the Uxbridge rd and Fulham Palace rd, but not sure when that starts.

WESTFIELD:
The stage 3 safety audit has taken place. We are hoping to have an inspection visit with LBHF Councillors Eugenie White and Alex Chalk, along with Chris Bainbridge and perhaps others from LBHF. All present at our meeting were to keen to attend if the chosen time fitted in with their schedules.

We discussed what we perceived as shortcomings in the present arrangements, but were pleased with some of the recent changes such as further cycle stands.
