TOUR DE FRANCE, 7th July prologue,
We are organising a route leaving from Ravenscourt park at 11am going to Hyde Park. I will discuss route with several people before telling LCC HQ. Belinda is away that day, but others present, along with Jane Egg, Gwen Cook, Mihaly say they will be involved.

WORLD NAKED BIKE RIDE
Saturday 9 June 2007 Meet 3pm for 3.30pm departure at Hyde Park Corner, north of the statue of Achilles. Ride as bare as you dare. It was great last year. See

CYCLE MARKINGS AT NEW KINGS RD / HARWOOD RD JUNCTION
These have been removed following resurfacing and the council has received complaints about this. Simon Franklin the LBHF Cycling Officer has been pursuing this, but so far I believe that the markings have not been reinstated.

WANDSWORTH BRIDGE / PARKING IN CYCLE LANES
We have received no feedback from the Council on these matters we have raised a long time ago.

CLEANER and GREENER SCRUTINY PANEL
WEDNESDAY 13 June 7pm
see http://www.lbhf.gov.uk/Images/CGSC20070613_tcm21-81398.pdf

The agenda includes Traffic Calming and an update on StreetScape improvements incuding Streetsmart . The streetscape recommends not using coloured surfaces to distinguish cycle lanes, and appears to put style over safety.

If you can make it to this meeting it would be very useful.

LDF
That same night [13 June] there is a meeting to consider Preferred Options of the Local Development Framework. At the Irish centre 7pm to 9pm, refreshments from 6.30pm. Call 020 8753 3317 if you wish to attend. The LDF replaces the UDP and sets out how land will be used in new developments.

GRANTS
We will look into applying for a FAST TRACK Small Grants Scheme, to help with the Greenfest next year.

CRISP
I have just received the following. If you wish to input into these please contact me. These CRISPS appear to cover difficult areas like SBG, Hammersmith Gyratory, Hammersmith Bridge. We were very pleased how Opus conducted some CRISPS last year.

Opus International Consultants have been commissioned by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to prepare CRISP's (Cycle Route Inspection and Stakeholder Plans) for London Cycle Network+ (LCN+) Links 73, 74 and 75. These CRISP's form part of a London Cycle Network Plus (LCN+) initiative to provide good conditions for cycling on a 900km network throughout London by 2010.
Link 73 begins at the borough boundary with Ealing at the junction of Uxbridge Road with Askew Road and Old Oak Road, and travels along Uxbridge Road ending at the Holland Park Roundabout, which marks the boundary of Hammersmith and Fulham with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Link 74 begins at the boundary of the Borough of Hounslow and travels along Chiswick Mall and Great West Road before meeting the Hammersmith Gyratory and then following Hammersmith Road until the boundary with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Our study will focus on the borough managed portions of this link as the Great West Road (TfL managed section) has been previously assessed.
Link 75 travels south from the Hammersmith Gyratory along Hammersmith Bridge Road to the boundary with the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames.
Early next week you will receive a questionnaire that has been sent to all stakeholders inviting opinions and information on the routes, with replies requested by Friday 29 June. Your organisation has been identified as a key stakeholder and we would appreciate your involvement and input in a pre-CRIM (Cycle Route Inspection Meeting) meeting and route inspection. It is anticipated that these will be held mid-July. We will be in touch closer to the time to organise dates and times.

CAZ
Told us of aspirations she has to set up a website that would be directed towards making cycling fashionable and trendy for women and younger people in particular. The idea is it would also sell clothing etc and be commercially self-sustaining.

EXPENSES
John had expenses of £15.32 for tonight's refreshments

Date for next meeting
