NOTES OF HFCYCLISTS AGM / SEPTEMBER MEETING Tuesday 4 September
, 7.30pm at the home of Gerry Berridge PRESSENT APOLOGIES WELCOME TO ANY NEW
MEMBERS HFCYCLISTS AGM CHAIRS ADDRESS Last year April 2011 to March 2012 we held a few rides, including feeders to Skyrides. We were involved with many Council consultations. We had regular meetings that were very enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who has participated. We pressed for remedial stuff at Westfield to get finished, including an off ramp to access the toucan crossing at Holland Park roundabout, but that still has not happened, and may happen late 2012 along with sorting out other Westfield problems. The Cycle Super Highway 9 passes through Hammersmith. That has been in abeyance for a long while. The Fulham Palace Slip road "improvement" is now finished as part of a bus priority scheme. We first suggested this approach as a way getting surface level crossings across the Fulham Palace road. In practice not as ideal for cyclists as one might have wished as narrow gaps between flyover supports and railings to get through. Fortunately it is not crowded at the moment, but may be when the CSH 9 starts. A lot of the things we remember like "The Big Ride" and dealing with Hammersmith Bridge and the ride with councillors came after the end of the year April 2011 to March 2012. We have had a lot of trouble dealing with Unity Trust Bank. We are grateful for Loretta who has been treasurer for the last year and is now stepping down. John Griffiths ACCOUNTS John presented these
