BUSINESS PART [non-business parts to follow]

CHAIR / CO-ORDINATORS REPORT

We have been involved in the following activities, amongst others, during the year:

BikeWeek / London Sustainability weeks
Obtained funding for and organised West London Green Festival. Funding from HFLA21, LBHF and SWELTRAC. Good co-operation from Council, surrounding LCC groups and other community groups. Considered a lovely event.

Participated in LBHF Car Free Day. Involved with BBC environment day.

Roger's Garden Party / The most successful ever.

Rides / A couple of family rides to Richmond park. We should organise more.

West London Tram
Input into consultations. Pointed out that proposed traffic system for SBG would not work. TfL finally agrees. Meet with top West London Tram engineer along with other LCC groups affected. Input into London Assembly consultation on tram.

LCN+ NW sector meetings. / Have regularly attended.

Networking
Have established good relations with Dave Wetzel, vice-chair of TfL, LCC head office, Local LCC groups, Better Government for Older People, Newspapers, local environmental groups, HFLA21, HFFoE, some Councillors, some Council Officers.

LCC Head Office meetings
Been going to some Borough Co-ordinator meetings and CPEG meetings.

LBHF ERSP [Environment and Regeneration Scrutiny Panel] meetings / Have been going to some Scrutiny Panel meetings

SBG
Would like status of new Goldhawk rd junction to be reconsidered as shared use, which in practice it is. Nothing happening on this front. Have attempted to have review of design of Uxbridge rd junction. Council co-operative but slow moving, not sure what will happen. [removal of toilet on Green, change of raised separator, safety audit happening]

Hammersmith Broadway
Consultants have been looking at several options for a year, including designs for surface level crossings. I have been picking up information occasionally. In October the Council showed me what they had chosen to do. Attended CRIM [Cycle Route Inspection Meeting]. Council design put forward to TMAP [Traffic Management Advisory Panel] for start in January 2005. Application rejected by TMAP.

Hammersmith Bridge. / Shocked that a CRIM had recommended a 20mph a year ago.

We have had regular meetings. We keep in touch via email group and website. We have received an annual grant from LCC head office. Very grateful to Hammersmith Community Trust / info centre for letting us have meetings there.
